There was much of old class mates we had to say, And the first she spoke or was Sally May. She runs a night club at some old well-known scene, With Juanita Bolinger and Muriel Green. Marie Gusdorf is now an old maid, Different from what we all once saidg Selling guns in Marion Junction she now appears- Showing her fondness for knives, guns, and Spears And Elizabeth Gladfelter iwould you ever have thought ?J Is teaching English as it never has been taught! Rusty Rawls is coach now at Yale, In football he rose to the highest scale. Frank 0rmond's career is almost as great. For we find him coaching at old Penn. State. And I said to Dot, not meaning to be pert, Did you know that Irma's married to Bert? And our friend Anna Powell has done very well She's abroad on her honeymoon with Count Punchinell. It has just been proved the truth of the rumor- Harwell Howard is editor of College Humor. Malcolm McMath can now be seen Outdoing John Gilbert on the silver screen. These stories of our friends were hard to conceive, And I really regretted that I had to leaveg So I gave Dot a ticket and told her to go Over to the Palace and see my show. I have sought you, he murmured, for years. How can I describe the heart aches which tore my soul, when at times you seemed to be drift- ing from me? I can scarcely believe that now you are mine,-that my dreams are to be realized! I know well that others have wanted you, and have failed in their quest. How can I express what I feel when I realize that you, the idol of all the classes, are mine alone? You are the light of all my dreams, the goal of all my desires. My heart throbs with unutter- able joy at the prospect of imparting the glad tidings to my dear old par- ents. Silence, silence broken only by the fervent whisper, A skin you love to touch! as he lovingly pressed to his lips his diploma. Frances Towns. F :Fx Q-.-.---, NlNl1.lIiliNf we t 'l'Hl1a'1'Y
