With our diplomas, the first ever given in Junior High, clutched tightly in our hands, we bravely set forth to new fields of conquest. Imagine what a drop it was after having been haughty Seniors for two years to become lowly rats at Senior High! We suffered more men- tally, however, than physically, because the Seniors had been given im- plicit instructions not to behave ungraciously to us. As the year went on we felt more a part of this institution in which we had first felt so bewildered. When we had overcome our timidity, we entered enthusiastically into the different organizations. We contributed a large number to the Dramatic Club and the talent seems quite promis- ing. The membership of the Latin and Biology Clubs have also been aug- mented greatly by our coming. We have won even more laurels in athletic interests. Quite a num- ber of boys went out for football, one of whom made the varsity and won his letter. The girls, also, have done their part in upholding the athletic standards. Several went out for basketball, while others staunchily at- tend every game. We behold our standing rising even higher in fields of scholarship, and we feel that due honor should be given to the hard workers of our class. In the Student Council, our representatives have willingly upheld their parts. Several first years also serve on the standing committees. Looking forward to next year, we feel far better equipped for the task of being the Junior Class of Senior High. With the principles and ideals of the school, together with our knowledge of its functionings fixed firmly in our minds, we are ready to take up our task of being the best Junior Class that the school has ever had.
