PRACTICING THE DEMOCRATIC WAY Two weeks at Indiana University was spent by these students as they 'tboned up on newspaper and yearbook do's and don'ts. Attending Boys' State and Girls' State at Indiana University were Dave Hampton, Betty Odom, and Ginger Rentschler, left to right. These students studied Indiana government and put it to practice, electing their officials. Becky Reese, senior, was chosen this year by the faculty as Selma's Good Citizen, a contest sponsored by the Daughter's of the American Revolution. Becky represented Selma in the county contest. Dave Hampton won second place in the Voice of Democracy contest sponsored by the Jaycees of Muncie. Betty Odom also entered the contest from Selma.
