leobcafion 1 We, the class of '53, have a deep feeling of gratitude for Mr. Wallace, our class advisor. Through out four years at Sell-Perk he has done more for the class than any other individual. He paved the way for the success of the class in its many activities. In addition to directing both plays, he has supervised the concessions, chaperoned our many dances, and acted as guide and counselor on our class trips. Mr. Wallace has aided us in achieving the ultimate heights of our desired goals. We truly hope that as we enter our many walks of life, we may look upon him as one great factor in our success. It is with these thoughts in mind that the class of '55 dedicates this volume of the SPhere to Donovan C. Wallace. 5

We had a wonderful year here at Sell-Perk and my friends and I are going to show you our high school life in its entirety. Iltfrs D 1,7 ,gg 1 Then we have the traditional seniors who have carried out the job of setting the path for the underclassmen, and the underclassmen themselves, working to achieve the height of scholarly attainment for their school. High school life is filled to capacity with extra-curricular activities. From fall, through winter, to spring, there are specialized clubs to meet the individual's taste. Teamwork is essential in a democracy. S-P's extensive sports program gives the student a chance to exercise his physical and mental abilities. As you see the various phases of our Sell-Petk school year, you will realize the great educational opportunities that the citizens of our community have provided to benefit us. 4

ennri ge .SQAOOK One of the most significant steps toward Pennridge High School was taken on September fifteenth when the ground breaking took place before Dr. Snyder, Mr. Nase, our Student Council president, and Deep Run High School council president. The site of the new school is one mile north of Perkasie com- prising a fifty acre tract of land. Students attending this school will include Sell-Perk students, Deep Run, and West Rockhill students. Admission to this school is the promotion from the junior High School. All the modern educational equipment that is possible will be furnished here plus a number of gifts to be given by graduating classes and service clubs. Students graduating from Pennridge can surely be proud to have a building so modern and one that offers so much for a student to further his education. 6
