ur :lea em Graduates of l953! This is your day. There are undoubtedly some who would pity you. We offer no pity but congratulations. On many sides it is heard that our country is in a bad mess, that chaos is rampant on all sides, that the future holds nothing but despair. Naturally, such remarks tend to make some ask What's the use? What have we to look forward to? Why study, plan, and work? So let down the bars, whoop it up, on with the hot-rodsg drive fast, live fast while you can for tomorrow holds nothing for us. Whats the Use? Let none of you speak such nonsensical words. There is use. There is still a big place for each and every one of you who has learned to take control of his own mind, who will keep his own house in order, and who has purposed in his own heart to make his life count. HOWARD M. NASE, Principal Temple University, A.B.M.Ed. Congratulations, Sellersville-Perkasie graduates of 1955, on the completion of your high school course, and all best wishes as you commence the careers which lie before you. You are the twenty- third Class to graduate from Sellersville-Perkasie. Although there are dark clouds on the horizon, in general the opportunities ahead of you are as great or greater than ever-especially if you are willing to prepare yourself for them. It appears that you will be the last class to grad- uate from Sellersville-Perkasie High School. May you as well as all others of our alumni always be concerned that the torch of educational opportunity -which is passed on from generation to generation -may ever burn more brightly and more abund- antly. Congratulations again. We are counting on you to uphold the best traditions of the past, to go on to greater achievements in the future and we will follow your careers with interest and pride. LEWIS N. SNYDER, Supervising Princzlpul Temple University, A.B., MA., Ed.D.
