Newport 13-Seals 6 Selinsgrove opened the attack by a well executed 40fyard pass play which was caught by a Selinsgrove end and carried for ten yards to the end zone. Newport scored twice in the second quarter, making the score 13-6. In the second half, the Seals threatened to score several times, but lacked the punch to carry it over. om a 7 , Jfbmwc '67 43 Milton 12-Seals 8 Seals lost a heartbreaker to the Panthers after holding them inside their own 30 throughout the entire game until a pass backfirecl into a 97fyard TD for the Panthers. Seals greatly outplayed their opponents in every respect. The game ended 12-8. Trevorton 6-Seals 0 The Heatonmen outplayed and out distanced the Trevorton Red Devils in every respect, but failed to reach pay dirt. The Devils took advantage of a Seal fumble and turned it into the only score of the game. Lewisburg 6-Seals 12 Selinsgrove posted their first win of the season over the Lewisburg Green Dragons on the Seals home field. The Seals reached pay dirt twice on spectacular plays. It was the sixth triumph by the Seals over Lewisburg. Sunbury 38-Seals 0 The hard fighting Seals were again turned back by a strong Sunbury eleven. The Seals were able to reach the Sunbury 28 yard line when a passfinterception halted this drive. There were times when the Seals' tricky A formation, reverses, and handoffs befuddled the Owls. The Owls' powerhouse was too much for the Seals. Bloomsburg 20-Seals 6 The Seals lost their sixth game to Bloomsburg's Panthers by a score of 20-6. An intercepted pass and two costly fumbles proved to be the difference. Northumberland 14--Seals 6 The Seals played one of their best games in losing to Norry Pineknotters l4f6 after a hard fought game. It was the Seals seventh loss against one win. Mifflinburg 12-Seals 7 The Seals lost another heartbreaker by being upset by the Wild- cats from Union County. The Wildcats scored the winning TD on a pass on the last play of the game. The score ended in a 127 victory for the Wildcats. Burnham-Derry 5 8 - Seals 2 6 The hard fighting Seals played their last game of the season at Burnham-Derry and were defeated 58f26. Excellent passing on the part of Selinsgrove prevailed throughout the entire game. This is the third straight year that Selinsgrove High has earned the Susque- hanna League Award which entitles us to permanent possession of the trophy.
