Sophomore Class We have spent a busy and profitable year as the Sophomores added one subject to the regular four. We are taking leathercraft, metal craft and lapidary instruction. Clifford, Virdell,Johnny,Ed- gar and Gilbert reported for foot-ball and all played in most of the games. We were joined by Tony Merken from a California Junior High School. Tony was the school reporter for the athletic games. Lila Jo and Patsy were elected two of the cheer-leaders by the stu- dent body and they have done a great deal to keep up the enthus - iasm at the foot-ball and basket-ball games. Joan was a member of the Pep Squad. In basket-ball Edgar and Gilbert won regular start- ing positions on the Varsity while Clifford,Virdell,Johnny and Thom as were valued members of the reserve squad. Johnny had the mis - fortune to break his arm in the Snowflake game but recovered quick ly and finished the basket-ball season. In base-ball Edgar has nail- ed down first base and Gilbert is playing second. Thomas will play in games as he is a good fielder; Clifford,Virdell and Johnny are also or the squad. Our sponsor is Mr.Corona and we are now busily practicing a play that we will put on this Spring. The Sophomores have the highest percentage of students in any class making the school Honor Roll.
