In the opening game a powerful Naches team defeated our boys 34-7 for our most decisive loss of the season. A strong defense brought us a 6-O victory over Grandview. ln the next defensive battle Prosser won from us by the same score. Next came our home coming game in which Selah lost a heartbreaker to Highland by a ill-7 score. On the following week end we took time out from apple harvest to journey to Cle Elum. The Warriors gained a 20-O victory on a rain soaked field. The following week end Selah surprised everyone with a i4-6 upset victory over Toppenish. The next Saturday we found a muddy field to our liking and defeated Granger in a non-conference game by a T4-6 score. Then came the game with West Valley for the latter's home coming. The Rams played an inspired game and treated their home crowd to a T3-6 victory. The Vikings closed the season against a strong Marquette team. After a close first half the Squires rolled to a 26-7 victory. On the roster, were two second team all-valley players: Ellis Johnson and Glen Lambert. Byron Moore was selected for the third all-valley team. Prospects for next year point to a more successful season. An undefeated Fresh- man eleven will supply keen competition for a large group of returning lettermen. This combination, plus other recruits, should prove to be a very strong squad next year. A ay!!
