We had the kids to win it all, had everything worked out as it could have. As it turned out, we were in Thompson Falls' shadow all season. They beat us by a slight margin at the Mission Tourney as the season opened. They beat us by 2 points at Divisionals and gave us our only dual loss of the season. In all 3 cases we frittered it away by giving away matches we had as good as won. I feel members and coaches should equally share the responsibility for this. We just didn't put it together in such a way that we could win the big ones. On the bright side, we did have two State Champions and one runner-up. Jeff Tanner won his second straight Championship. Wes Rammell wrestled the best match of his high school career to beat Fisher from Thompson Falls and win the State Title. Wayne Cahoon, struggling to regain the conditioning he had lost to a bout with the flu, lost in the finals to Davis of Thompson Falls. Wayne is one of the most 22
