nan slinacnnanceanensiiabantinieraiasa een Nie Ne t bp a pS a ey: ae i - a | a Dina Pam Barbie and Ken S just wanna have fun! “Oh John, I love your Anam Straight From The Heart Wrentham, Ma-‘‘Oh, What a Night!” is not only the name of a song but a reflection of the attitude of the one hundred fifty members of the Class of’85 who attended their Jr. Prom at the King Philip Dining Hall on May 11, 1984. Couples, excited by the thought of a night of romance and dancing, had their pictures taken and then attempted to locate their assigned tables. Once the formalities were taken care of (such as manditory compliments, lavatory runs, and candid picture taking) the prom was underway. The Entertainer began the festivities by playing popular music to which the prom-goers danced on the open terrace under the clearing skies. When the music became fast paced, a crowd gathered around Chris Montiero to check out the latest dance crazes — breaking and popping. Just as everyone was beginning to get into the music, the meal was served. The soda “bar” was open throughout the entire meal and remained open all night. After the delectable meal, danc- ing resumed and the waitresses and wai- ters assumed the responsibility of choosing the queen and her court while the couples swayed to “Straight From the Heart.” The room became hushed as the queen and her court were announced. Chris Candeias was the per- fect girl to wear the crown as Lynn Shall- cross, Luanne Eva, Jodie Caruolo, and Dina Marchetti received the honor of being her attendants. As the prom drew to a close, couples danced their last dances and collected their favors — last- ing memories of a very special evening — one that can only be expressed in the words “straight from the heart.”
