The learning process in the English program is sequential, Bach grade level having specific objec- tives. This department provides a solid educational base for each student in world cultures as well as American History. To provide each participant with a solid background, cer- tain courses are required such as Comparative and American Government in the freshman year and United States History in the junior year. A more accelerated U.S. History course is offered for the advanced student in the junior year. Social Studies Mini-courses and research courses are offered for those interested in investigating the many social and political problems of today. Economics courses are Seen as electives to assist students in understand- ing today’s economy in preparation for the future. A Behavioral Science course is offered for twelfth grade students who wish to learn the basic principles of psy- chology and sociology. To help our students understand the background of our own community, the Social Studies Mini-classes will attempt to develop a written history of the town of Seekonk in conjunction with the Seekonk Historical Society. 12 Faculty try Coach, Boys’ Indoor Track Coach, Girls’ Indoor Track Coach, Boys’ Outdoor Track Coach, Student Government Advisor Mr. Callahan’s Freshman fan club 4 Leader of the Pack.
