But buildings are mere shells and ideals abstractions without people—administration, faculty, and students—who provide the human element to transform the abstract unto the concrete. We, the Class of 1967, find ourselves in a unique position; the founders of precedents, tra- dition-setters. For the pride we bear in being a unified symbol of the growth of the town of Seekonk, we express our most profound gratitude to the ad- ministration and faculty for their help and guidance, but most of all to the people of Seekonk, without whose support our school, and thus the pur- pose of this yearbook, could never have been realized. ‘ie Besinnine es : i ’ iB apn AIR a i ; Alfred W. Maccarone Dedication To show a genuine and continual interest in the future and well being of others is a quality which can rarely be forgotten, and the class of 1967 will not easily forget the help and advice received from Mr. Alfred Maccarone. Even though he is pressed with the duties of a department head; he has given of his time freely and willingly, not out of obligation, but out of personal concern and interest. Throughout our last two years at Seekonk High, Mr. Maccarone has remained a person who can be counted on, whether it be in planning a class function or for individual advice. Therefore, in appreciation for his aid to the class of 1967, we the “Reflections” Staff dedicate this first edition to Mr. Alfred W. Maccarone. — egy einen, a a “Those Having Torches Will Pass - Them on to others” — Plato — Superintendent of Schools, Albert F. Ehnes TOSTHE CLASS OF (1967 You, the Class of 1967, have the singular distinction of being the first class to be graduated from the Seekonk High School. Within the ensuing years you will set the course for your individual lives and establish a reputation for our High School. I know that as you succeed in your future endeavors, you will enjoy the memories of school days and appreciate the inspiration provided by Seekonk. Albert F. Ehnes, Superintendent of Schools r f A At the dedication of the new Seekonk High School Principal Herbert H. Marshall At a basketball game My congratulations to the Senior Class of 1967. You have successfully completed your high school educa- tion in spite of many obstacles that might have blocked your progress, the greatest of these obstacles being the adjustment that had to be made in the transition from several schools to one and the attempt to maintain con- tinuity in the process. Your class has met the challenge presented to you and successfully overcome all obstacles. T am proud of our first Senior Class. I wish you all continuing success in your future endeavors. Herbert H. Marshall, Principal Assistant Principal Gerald L. Kaveny Congratulations to the Class of 1967 on your successful completion of a memorable phase of your lives. Remember that your education is just beginning and that it will continue as long as you live. In a democratic society the contributions of each individual have a tremendous effect upon the success or failure of our form of government and our way of life. Each person has the respon- sibility to see that our most cherished democratic ideals are perpetuated. May I wish you happiness and success in all future endeavors. Gerald L.
