CHEERLEADERS CLUB Mrs. Battit, Advisor Members: Mary LePage, Janice Alveiti, Leslie Leipczwitz, Sheryl Luciano, Sharon Blocke, Beth Cohen, Sherily Arnold, Sherry Rotheman, Leslie Coojjer, Cheryl Lord, Judith Rodenhiser, Angie Tillas, Angela Zeuli, Gail Kravetz, Denise Costa, Linda Mahoney, Debra Smullen, Donna Pardi. ACTIVITIES: With a turnout of over 200 girls the woman teachers were faced with a difficult task. Finally after much deciding, they chose 18 of our finest girls to be Cheerleaders for good old Seeglitz Jr. High. Not only is talent necessary, but the girls must have passing grades at all times. So with the combination of talent and looking great in their uniforms of white blouses and navy blue skirts, our Cheerleaders stood out at all events. The girls led us in our favorite chants at all foot- ball, basketball, and boys’ intramural sports. They helped brighten our cheers at the student-faculty game which led us on to victory over the teachers by a score of 48-32. Needless to say, the girls are a credit not only to Seeglitz, but to their fine and patient teacher, Mrs. Battit, who deserves a couple of cheers herself. They staged an enjoyable orogram of athletic feats before the Student-Faculty Basketball Game. It’s good to have a member of the Leaders Club with you when you’re walking down a dark alley at night.
