RED AND VVHITE 11 ,,,. M11 Debating Team Sezzleci, from left to rightaLena Spalding, Cosette Kellogg, Mildred Coble. Sffllldllllfj-V' Verneva Fleek. Mrs. VVhite ttloaehj, Miss Tayer ttloachl. The debating team whose pictures appear above upheld the S. H. S. in the County debate contest. Four schools entered the contest and it so happened that Sedgwick drew the County champions for the prelim- inary contest and were eliminated. The fact that the decision was against them does not indicate that there was no work of a creditable nature done. The illtllll showed the result of much work in way of preparation ot' argument. More training on the delivery part of the debate seems to be responsible for the lack of decisions won. NVith the growing enthusiasm is debate work. shown by the start made by the Freshmen class of this year, and also by the talk of the interested folks we hope this part of the school activities will have its share of patronage from the pupils and patrons and in this way bring about the backing necessary for winning teams.
