Where a Sllltlll one P00111 country school stood years ago, IIOVV stands the three story building that C01llllltlllllS the interest of both citizens and travelers. The Sedgwick High School was organized thirty-four years ago, by Supt. H. VV. Charles, and since that time nine learned men have filled the Superintendent's chair. I11 the year 1912, the old building was replaced by the present 3435.000 structure. which is 111oder11 i11 every respect. Tl1e iirst class to be graduated from S. H. S. consisted of six persons. and the largest class lllill l1as been graduated, tl1at of 1916, consisted of twenty-tive. In 1913 a Normal Training course was added to the course of study and in 1914 IJ0lll0SllC Art a11d Science and Manual were added, making this a second class school. Debate, glee club and chorus work, oratory, literary, Zllld many kinds of athletics have been added, i11 order that S. H. S. might take part in inter-school affairs. The Sedgwick School Sentinel, established i11 1919. has carried the llllllll' ol' the SCTIOOT far and wide. This Temple of Knowledge has its doors open to both grade a11d high school students. S. H. S. is a very busy place. There is no room for drones. It is little wo11der that those who continent on tl1e resoureefulness and activity of our graduates, remark that S. H. S. students get things done. There's a reason. The S. H. S. ideal is to transform life into service.
