NEIL MALONE, sadly disappointed in love, was a bachelor living on the river in the Belknap Community where he raised the finest tomatoes in the state. DARLENE SEARS was a RN in Saint Mary s Hospital at Winfield, Kansas. CAROLINE McKlBBON SMITH had just received an award as Mother of the Year by having one of the most all-around sons in Sedan Grade School. NAEENE CUMMINGS was working as typist in the County Treasurer's o ice, PATSY WARREN was file clerk in the Contour Drive Chevrolet Com- pany office in Arkansas City. LDEAN McKEE had gotten out of high schoolp was now football Coach t ere. SUE McCARTY had won the honor of being the first woman to wear a pair of jet-propelled shoes. It was rumored that she borrowed them rom Roy Sanders. KAY FREEMAN was applearing on Ouiz Shows on TV. She had entered a talking marathon wit Steve Todd and she had won. GIDVER WALKER was an Atomic Scientist working for the United Nations on a depth rocket designed to penetrate through to China. DON DILLY was sheriff of Chautauqua County and was really helping the teenage group by organizin Safety Clubs. BILL RO was a barber in Coffeyville. His hair styling attracted both men and women and his trade was so heavy that there was talk of adding an assistant. PHYLLIS DOWNING had just been awarded a one thousand dollar savings bond by American Home Magazine Company for having the most beauti ully decorated living room in Kansas. DELORA Al EN was the receptionist In the dental office of a popular Sedan dentist. ELMYRA STEWART was assisting the Kindergarten teacher of Sedan Schools because the group was almost too large for one to manage. CURTIS KEENY was the up-and-coming dentist in southeast Kansas and was now making a set o teeth for the last of his eight high school teachers. GARY ELAM was coach of a new Communit High School located near the Elk-Chautauqua county line and it was befing rumored that only one coach in history had ever rivaled his popularit , that being Knute Rockne. MARY MARTIN was assistant to the registrar at Emporia State College. IDRENE MYERS was in Dallas, Texas, where she conducted schools or high school cheerleaders durin ten months of each year.
