r 1, MlSS SEBRING HIGH Miss Margie Kinsey. attractive. dark-haired l7-year-old high school senior was honored Friday night by being chosen Miss Sebring High. At a formal dance sponsored by the National Honor Society at the Teen-Age Club on December 6. Miss Kinsey was presented an orchid and a gold pin initialed with S. H. S. She was attired in a black net dress trimmed with gold sequins. M. Mitchell Ferguson acted as master of ceremonies and gave the presenta- tion of Miss Sebring High. Other candidates were Patricia Pearce, Mima Lee Carlton, Esther Pullen, Geneva Carnes. Betty Mae Marsh, and Edith Morgan. The room was decorated with motif of blue and white. the school colors, under the leadership of Sophy Mae Mitchell with other Girl Scouts assisting. Each ofthe reserved tables had a centerpiece of Brazilian Peppers. tied with blue and white ribbons. The main form of entertainment was dancing. and during the intermission. a floor show was presented. Miss Geraldine Hancock sang two solos. The Old l.amplighter and The Things We Did l-ast Summer. Sandra VJeaver and Grace Twitty presented a tap dance, and Joe and Junior English presented electric guitar solos. Miss Patricia Daughtry sang 'Tm a Big Girl Now, My Sugar is so Refined, and Waitin' for the Train to Come In. The 1947 Nan-Ces-O-lVee 10
