5445216411 MR. CORRIGAN, S. J.-Much of Prep's prowess A in athletics this year was due to the extensive work of the Athletic Director. He also showed his worth when be became basketball coach at midfseason in the place of Dr. Logan. Here he submitted a new attack and defense, and com' pleted a creditable season. ln his capacity as Athletic Director, Mr. Corrigan also organized the intramural basketball and indoor leagues for the interest of the students. Under the guiding hand of Mr. Corrigan, the Seattle Prep Panthers sailed through their basketball schedule, winning seventeen games out of a possible twentyfsix. Although handicapped by the graduation of several lettermen, the Panthers had a fast quintet built around Windy Reynolds, center and captain. Jack Stewart, flashy forward, led the team in individual scoring with a total of 150 points. Close behind were Joe Merrick and Frank Boxer. Filling the guard positions were Bill Bates and George Ryan. The second team hung up eighteen wins. From this squad Hyde, Fallon, DeDonato, and Branigan should see First team service next year.
