-gasoczkted .gucfenta As A RESULT of last year's cam aign on the part of Seattle Prep students to elect their studentfbody officers, Frank McGerr received the largest number of votes for the presidency, and when the votes were tabulated it was found that Howard Picht was chosen vicefpresident. The position of secretary was filled by William Bellinger, while Martin Carroll per' formed the. duties of sergeanvatfarms. Frank McGerr, our president, better known as Bud, entered from St. john's School in nineteen hundred and thirtyfthree 119331. From the very day he came through the threshold of our institution Bud has been ver active, playing both football and baseball, an outstanding student, ancf, at all times he has endeavored to work for the betterment of the whole school. For Bud we have the highest esteem, and at this time we wish to thank him for the able manner in which he conducted the student' body while he was the guiding hand. Few words can adequately explain the character of our vice'president, Howard Picht, and the best example of this is the position to which he was elected. Howard, congenially known as Howie, entered Seattle Prep from St. john's School in 1933. He is an excellent scholar, over- flowing with school spirit, and is very active in sports and other extra' curricular activities. Qur secretary, Bill Bellinger, entered from Immaculate Conception School in 1934. Bill performed an excellent job of keeping the minutes, always having them up to date, and o en for inspection or reference whenever any of the studentfbody wishecf to see them. Martin CMartyD Carroll, our sergeant'at'arms, entered from the Immaculate Conception. School in 1935. Though only a Freshman, Marty was elected to this high position of honor, and throughout the rest of his high school days we look for great things from Marty. At the beginning of the second semester this year, the student'body elected officers for next year: William Bellinger, president, Charles Morrill, vicefpresident, and Thomas Branigan, secretary. Bill Bellinger, our president, who previous to the recent election was the secretary, is doing a wonderful job. His school spirit is one of the most outstanding of the whole studentfbody, and he is endeavoring to instill the same in each and everyone of the students. Bill is conducting the studentfbody meetings in a unique fashion, and it is hoped that his good work will be continued throughout the coming year. Our vicefpresident, Charles Morrill, is one of our outstanding students both in curricular and extrafcurricular activities. Chuck is liked by everyone from the very first time they meet him. The position which he holds is sufficient proof of this. Thomas Branigan, our secretary, is one of the exce tional football players of the school. Tom is only a Sophomore, but fie is filling the difficult job of secretary like a veteran by following the same policies of his predecessor, Bill Bellinger.
