ONCE LIP N A P. . - 'T Once upon a time, there were many Seattle Pacific Peer Advisors, and they were each assigned hazardous duties. These duties included handing out toilet paper, unlocking doors, giving back rubs, and last but not least, being an example to their floor. Often the P.A.'s encounter duties not written up in their contract. Jonika Haller of Third floor Moyer ended up cleaning showers filled with horse manure, lovingly deposited there by the First floor men. Another incident on Third Moyer involved the placing of very revealing male pictures in the bathroom. The motives of whoever did this have not been understood, unless he or she wanted to educate the freshmen. Pam Scott, a P.A. on Robbins Second, was pennied in Fall quarter. The lock was broken while getting her out. The lock. typically, was not fixed for a week. One P.A. was observed escorting a guy onto a closed womens floor to visit the P.A. there. The P.A. who received the unexpected visit was fined 55.00. Yes, there is iustice at SPU. Ashton has also had its share of humouors happenings. Kathy Sigurdson of fourth floor, led her girls on a raid. using a can of Raid. The girls ran down the floor spraying the Raid, and shouting, Raid! Raidl This type of raid proved to be very effective in reducing the male population at SPU. One P.A. was doing her laundry during closed floor hours. Strolling out of the laundry room, dressed in little more then a T- shirt, she almost walked over a couple coming down the hall. Needless to say, she did not stay around long enough to fine them. ln Robbins, two boxes of toilet paper were discovered stolen from third floor by first. They then used one box to decorate second and third floors. The second box ended up as a wedding present, the lucky couple. Let us not forget the P.A.'s roommates. The agonies the roommate must suffer covering for the P.A.'s. The roommates must wear them selves out answering questions, passing out toilet paper and being home more often then the P.A. The hardships are many, and free time seems to disappear. but most P.A.'s agree that being a Peer Advisor is worth it. Once the year is over, some P.A.'s even think of being a P.A. once again. Years go by, the names change, but the work of the P.A. goes on forever.
