Developing agriculture projects. teaching English, raising chickens, and planning recreation were also among the various challenges that faced the students. They went to Thailand expecting to serve. They did. But they also received much more. Come, you who are blessed by my Fathentake your inheritance the Kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. anafisifarafif1iffgwwffxrakif,pk.wa+w'f1r1fA:1k-kwim-?1rQgi-turf Homecoming, February 7, was one of the highlights this year. Seattle Pacific took on Pacific Lutheran in basketball, but lost by one point 83-82, Unfortunately, Dr. McKenna's rediction, -that we'd win. did nothold true this year. k '- At half time, everyone took part in the action by constructing some thirty-thousand odd paper air- planes that were thrown to center court for some great prizes. The gym looked like L.A.X. Airportiat midday. The best part of the whole evening was the talent show, held in Gwinn. There was some great talent that topped off the evening quite nicely. First place in the dramatic award was Cynthia Minkler playing an untitled piece on the piano of her own composi- tion. Cherylin Mitchell sang Come in from the Rain accompanied by Sue Staudacher for second place. First in entertainment was the Greg Snyder Band playing l'm Turning Japanese. Second place went to Eric Buehrer on the guitar and Cary Balzar, who used a hair dryer as a synthesizer. The title of their song was Granny's in the Cellar. jf
