As the leaves yellowed and the crisp air signaled the end of fall, SPC students crowned Julie Nolte queen of their Autumn Harvest Festival. On the glittering lavender stage Julie and her four lovely princes- Autumn I-lorvest Cornivol ses-Judy Borchardt, Linda Ste- vens, Sharon Stockton, and Shir- ley Thompson-added a touch of splendor to the lovely Carnival atmosphere. The vibrations of Ken Waggon- er's band dimmed only to the sounds echoing from the Student Union Building. Attractions in- cluded a Spook House, putt-putt golf course, car smash, dunking pond, and pie-throwing booth. The international students' varied pro- gram included a pantomime dia- logue and vocal numbers. - fffiizzg r r- ,gp .. Pdrents' Weekend Shades of Time was the theme of this year's Parents' Weekend, November 3-5, under the direction of co-chairmen Connie Butcher and Dan Kellogg. Visiting the dorm open house which called forth creative student imaginations, looking at new classroom facilities, attending a typi- cal chapel-assembly, and sharing in a special banquet at Gwinn gave parents an opportun- ity for a moment to be part of the exciting life of their college son or daughter. -.Lx l
