Monthly meetings that include guest lec- turers and field trips to such places as the Hanford Atomic Works are activities that help prepare students for futures in physics or engineering. Chemistry officers: Lael Winch-Secretary Treasurer, Dean Nomura-President, Clau dia Robertson-Vice President. Members of the Chemistry Club are student affiliates to the American Chemical Society. Their purpose is to introduce students with professional chemists and graduate programs in the area. An opportunity is pro- vided to become acquainted with fellow members and share ideas concerning the field. Working behind the scenes in prepar- ing for gallery showings and Fine Arts Week, le Marais is proving to be an ef- fective means of stimulating interest in the fine arts. The club, taking its name from the French left bank, spon- sors parties, gallery tours and a Clothes Line Art Sale in the Spring. Le Morois Dan Canonge-Treasurer, Ellen Terry, Jeff Zylstra-President, Joy Jones- Secretary, Clin Brown and Larry Metcalf-Advisors. Not pictured: J. Stone, Vice President. SPARK With an ultimate goal of initiating a radio station at Seattle Pacific College, the Seattle Pacific Amateur Radio Klub is presently involved with operating the radio telegraph media. Their equipment spans from Alaska to New York. Eight mem- bers have operator licenses.
