Miller-Chairman The new offices in the CAD building gave the Business Administration department a new physical coherence. Academically they have expanded their curriculum to include areas of international economics under the teaching of Dr. Lawrence Wright. Home Economics emphasizes the woman's role in today's world. Mrs. Dorothy Kreider, as chairman, is active in the Association of Home Economics Administrators and serves as a member of the National Committee on Home Economics. Working with her is Mrs. Abbie Dale who has published many articles on Nu- trition. Mrs. Flora Burns, who teaches clothing and Textiles, does special research in these fields at the University of Washington. Mrs. Dorothy Kreider

I Dr. Frank Williston Dr. Roy Swanstrom traveled in Europe during the summer, principally in the Scandinavian countries and Russia. Because Professor Krahn was on leave in preparation for his doctoral dissertation, Dr. Frank Williston, visiting professor from the Uni- versity of Washington, conducted well-received seminars on recent Far Eastern history. Because politics is everybody's business, the policy of the department is to encourage all students to take some course in political science. The course of study leading to a major is designed to acquaint the student with the enduring questions which have agitated the minds of men over the centuries.
