Under this study, the profes- sors will work closely with three schools in Seattle to implement new teaching theory and method. The school has also reapplied for accreditation. Dr. Haugerud has presented a paper on Su- pervision and Curriculum. He is a member of the state committee on science and the National Aeronautic Space Association. Dr. Curtis Martin is doing extensive research on social foundations in America. ln this con- nection he has traveled to the University of Chicago and other American universities. Changes in the procedures of study for be- ginning students are being introduced. A new program of lab experience in the public schools will be implemented for the sopho- more to junior year. The author of three books, Mrs. Woods is the founder of the PTA sponsored pre-school pro- gram in public libraries in the state of Wash- ington. She was instrumental in setting up the new master's degree in creative educa- tion and has worked with school districts throughout the nation in this field. The Delta Zeta Sorority honored her as Woman of the Year for 1967-68.

School of Nursing The School of Nursing embodies a staff of highly educated and specially trained women all of whom have received their masters degree in nursing. Under the leadership of Mrs. Lydia Green the school is training girls for professional nursing and is applying for its accreditation from the Na- tional League of Nursing. Mrs. Della Tiede is a nursing spe- cialist in the field of maternal child nursing. Mrs. Shirley Kurz is doing extensive research in cardiac nursing. The expansion of this department is seen as Mrs. Joan Pont- liana began to teach spring quarter.
