THE PICTURE IS TAKEN THE YEAR IS RECORDED ONLY BECAUSE... People were willing to give more than the expected. Many hours were spent in the darkroom printing the most creative study of a year I have seen. Sallie Klue, fall quarter, and Paul Chang, winter and spring quarters, deserve more recognition than they have received. Dennis and Joan also. Professor Metcalf checked and relocated picture blocks for a more pleasing layout. Vida Wolter and Barb Jensen helped to complete the Campus Life section. Arlet, Kathi, and Barb compiled and typed the index-not a glamorous job but a most praiseworthy one when done with such good spirit. Sue did her part to keep spirits high, as did Boldy. .loAnn and Sue added their constructive ability to make athletics more active. To Laura and Olga also go my thanks. Deadlines were met. Ken was quite the organization man. Connie knows more about records, and the sports, than many fellas. We couldn't have done without her. Linda came face to face with the faculty, finding them to be most fascinating. Marilyn and I won't forget Christmas vacation which we spent cropping mug shots. Craig diligently sold ads and Sandy made layouts to display the product. I do deeply ap- preciate each one's special help. Miss McElheran was a perfect advisor, I especially needed her pruning of my verbage in the essay sections. Rowland was always kind as he met the needs of a most demanding editor. And Jude-you always said you didn't do enough- but don't forget you finished the Campus Life section. It was good to have you here and near. There were others, like Mrs. McDonald, Susan and Dr. Bell, and Gordon Bell, publications business manager. Dr. Schoenhals was very helpful. President Demaray gave freely of his time. Many more will go unnamed, but to you also go my thanks. Carol Lange Editor AWARENESS WAS OUR THEIVIE. THE GOAL IS DISCOVERY OF THAT WHICH IS HARDEST TO FIND - YOURSELF. THEN, AND THEN
