Cross Country Bob Rorabaugh, greatly improved over last year, led the Falcons this year in a season consistent in its inconsistencies. High points of the season were its third straight dual meet victory over the Uni- versity of Washington, a tie for first at the Portland Invitational, .and a good effort in the Pacific North- west Cross Country Championships in Vancouver, B.C. On the other hand, Falcons finished seventh at the NCAA Regionals in Santa Barbara. Despite the lack of outstanding talent, the Falcon harriers still are regarded as a power in the North- west and the performances of the fall indicate good things to come in the future with only two men, Jerry Bamburg and Roger Nloffitt, graduating. Soccer ln the fall of 1967, Seattle Pacific College began an experiment with a new sport- soccer. Soccer was intended to fill the void that seemed to exist during the fall quar- ter. The experiment was highly successful. The team developed steadily as the season progressed, but, because of a late start, the team lacked endurance. ln so short a time, with so little practice, it was dif- ficult to develop interplayer coordination. Special thanks is due to Coach Arnie Aiz- strauts, who faced a difficult job in form- ing the first soccer team of Seattle Pa- cific College.
