Choir Christmas came bringing an invitation. The ABC network telecast the SPC Choir in a half hour presentation of seasonal music. ln addition to a choral portrayal, English handbells were used for a Moravian Carol. Old forms of music and their newer forms accom- panied with the guitar and other popular instru- ments contrasted and combined in a full program of expression. This was the Spring of new travel. For the first time Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado were toured by the choir. Ye Sons and Daughters of the King by Leisring and more recently Butcher, using the banjo, guitar, and string bass, Now Thank We All Our God by Pachelbel sung by a double choir, and Schumann's How Great Are Thy Wonders were numbers used in a most moving concert. Most memorable was the concluding Denver service be- fore 2,200 people, which proved that music can be an invitation in song. The choir provided background music for the Fall City Passion players at the Washelli Sunrise Service. The concert season ended at Baccalaureate. QQ JC? l T ,Hlfl ll ?'.
