Ending the preliminary indecisions of voters in the glitter of McKinley's stage, Sue Skoko was crowned our Homecoming queen. A 20 year old speech and English major from Port- land, Sue hopes to teach high school and be- come a staff member of Campus Crusade for Christ. Not symbols of beauty alone, but of the loveli- ness and vigor of a Christian life, each girl se- lected kept a busy schedule of appointments. Sylvia Sund, freshman princess from Shelton, Washington, was escorted by Craig Korthase. Norwegian-born Grete Helstad represented sophomores. Cal Jensen was her escort. Nancy Fredrick was absent from class and ca- deting only a few days as she was senior prin- cess. By her side stood fiance Ken Waggoner. Musically-talented Carol Easton serenely graced the court as senior princess. Carol's escort was Dave Grant. Coronation evening was perfectg the week was eventful. Co-chairmen Sunny and Jerry Willson and Linda Lawyer succeeded in their tasks with the assistance of faculty advisor Dr. Davis and twenty-two committee chairmen.

Christ in the Concrete City AND CHRIST IS RISEN INDEED, AND GOES BEFORE YOU INTO GALILEE. YOUR GALILEE, THE GALILEE OF THE IVIODERN INDUSTRIAL CITY, OF THE NEON LIGHTS, AND THE DEPARTIVIENT STORE. A An English vicar, Philip W. Turner in an attempt to set forth dramatically the meaning of the Passion in words and images understandable to con- temporary people, wrote this poetic drama. Christ in the Concrete City is the story of something that actually hap- pened. The play is one of universal signifi- cance speaking timelessly to man- kind. Several voices blend as a unit rather than as individuals to express this point of view. The play speaks intimately to the indi- vidual in the secret places of his own soul, urging him to action here and now. This confrontation and interaction be- tween audience and actor toured throughout California and Washing- ton. The cast was composed of Rich- ard Husby, David Peak, Cheryl Hall, Delores Henson, Tom Hadduck, and George Scranton. Lighting and sound was controlled by Roger Murillog the play was directed by Dr. Geraldine Hess.
