L p, cuss MXN DOWN WlTH J SEN! vi- 38 fumble The Junior class spent the school year in quiet, but industrious academic and social pursuits. The efforts of the class as a whole were concentrated on two major class-sponsored events. Winter quarter, the Juniors staged Pachunga, a class party on a Latin American note. Tacos and the Latin American Sere- naders set the mood for the evening. Later on in the year the Seniors were the guests of the Juniors at the annual Junior-Senior banquet. This gala affair was held at the Elks Club, a popular banquet spot in Seattle. Perhaps the biggest contribution that the Juniors made to campus life was through all-college activities and student government. Several of this year s ASSPC oflicers came from the Junior class, as did a large number of the student council members, AMS and AVV S ofhcers. College bowl, parents week-end, campus preview, and Homecoming, to mention only a few, used the time and skills of many Juniors to make their programs a success. The Junior year in college is one of constant chal- lenge. Having passed the half-way mark, the out- lines of the reality of graduation and an exciting career become sharper and sharper as the year wears on. At the end of the school term the Juniors can look back upon a successful year of study, but they can also look forward to that long-awaited Senior year that lies such a short distance ahead.
