For most Seniors this last year of college has been one of accommodation. Toward the end of summer, a note from the registrar reminded each one that there were only three quarters left to fulfill college requirements. And so, many returned with a sinking feeling to squeeze that lst religion, science, or English course into a schedule which had already been planned around a major area. There was, however, the rather comforting realization that within a few, short months the pressure of tests, notebooks, and collateral readings would be over-for a time, anyway. It would hardly be fair to leave the impression that the Seniors spent all their time calculating grade points and graduation credits, because they did find time to make their influence felt in more positive and tangible ways. The Siril Seminarsi' were open to Seniors who wished to contribute their time and educational back- ground to stimulating faculty-student discus- sions of moral, religious, and intellectual issues. This program, plus frequent class letters, helped to unify the Seniors before the final dispersion, To those who have only begun the college ex- perience, the reality of caps, gowns and diplomas continues to be hazy and distant. But for the Senior, it is a rather ominous reminder that an exciting and perhaps frightening phase of life lies beyond.
