One can easily observe a meet and label a team great or mediocre, but that which is of more importance, both to the school and to the athletes themselves, is the training program to which the runners submit themselves. For, an all-around, and year- around, program of well integrated training fundamentals provides the thrust necessary to push each athlete to his capa- ' 3 bility.
