A an Youngren, Editor-in-Clfzief 05d During the last year the Falcon has served as a timely and interest-provoking channel of communi- cation for the students and faculty of Seattle Pacific College. Each week events and issues of worldwide importance have shared the page with campus events and expressions of administrative policy. The constructively critical emphasis of the paper has inspired thoughtful, lively exchanges of opinion in the Letters to the Editorl' column which is dis- cussed all over campus. This has probably been the greatest contribution of the Falcon to the student body. If nothing else, some students have at least been inspired to stand for something, rather than to go along with the crowd for safety's sake. Those who have never Worked on a Weekly paper can hardly visualize the fantastic amount of work that has gone into each issue of the Falcon. Ian Youngren, working with her associate editors, Phoebe Deming and Wayne Rammerman, has suc- ceeded in initiating several creative ideas despite the tremendous pressure of her job. Such features as Ellipsesl' and the weekly calendar of events have made a valuable contribution to general student awareness. -Mui ar..-rr---v ' .r ,V . r 'N 'V' YZ? .4 .
