femme fihher During the early part of fall quarter, SPC staged the most spectacular cultural event of the entire year. Jerome Hines, Metropolitan Opera personality, presented a musical program to a capacity crowd at the Seattle Opera House. Emil Danenberg, a tal- ented musician in his own right, accompanied Mr. l-Iines. A blending of sacred and classical selections made the concert interesting, but the interjeetion of testimonies by both performers made the program unique. l Many SPC students were fortunate enough to meet Jerome I-lines and Emil Danenberg at a reception held after the concert. The warm sincerity which these men demonstrated in their personal contacts was a further indication of their devotion to Jesus Christ. Those who attended the concert and the reception could hardly help but sense the fervency and enthusiasm of two men whose lives are devoted to Gods service through the medium of music. ln view of this and the quality of the performance, it is no wonder that the Jerome l-lines concert was one of the most successful events of the year. --V - vr -mv 3 f
