THE STUDENT COUNCIL Student gevernrent has been in effect in our school since the f 11 of 1948 when the Stu dent Council was organized with Leta Rae Randal as f1rst president Under the guidance of a faculty rep esenta tive, this group h s been responsible for dis cipline in the halls and the appeerance of the grounds It has also sponsored intr -mural sports, such as ping pong and volley bell With the money earned through the sale of ChTlSt7 s cords, pie, and cendv, the Council has beubht for the school an Anpro 16rm1 pmegector e second hand mineogr ph machine and lumber for a platform Once a nonth the Student Council has had complete charge of the chapel program This year the group has done an effective job under the leadership of George Pontius, Pr sldent, Sally Forsyth, Vice Pres1dent, Hurry Johansen, Secretary, Steve Ross, Treasurer, and Miss Tate, F culty Advisor .Y Q' Q l O a - 91 , . a , - 3 - , ' 119.
