GIRLS'GLEE CLUB The Girls' Glee Club met in the fall with ten members. Our first appearance was at the Senior Class play. We.sang two songs between acts. We also sang between acts at the Junior Class play. The Girls' Glee Club took, part in the County Music Festival at Joy on April 27 and ended a suc- cossful year by singing at the Baccalaureate services and the Commencement exercises. Miss Wever was our director and Miss Graehling was our accompanist. The members of the Girls' Glee Club were: Sopranos: Evelyn Shike, Betty Lou McCannon, Betty Penelerick, and Maxine Van Eaton. Altos: Martha Ranney, Mary Garland, Mary Gertrude Meehan, Estelene Dye, and Ruth Ricketts. BOYS' GLEE CLUB When the Boys' Glee Club started practice in the fall there were l5 boys out for music. This field soon narrowed down to twelve who attended class the rest of the year and finished the year by singing at several public functions. The first appearance of the Boys' Glee Club was at the Senior play where they, along with the Girls' Glee Club, two numbers. The next appearance was at the Junior when they sang NHoo-dah Day'. sang P187 The next appearance was in the form of a contest. We UBel1s of the Sean in the Mercer County Festival at Joy on April 27. We placed third in the division of boys glee clubs. sang The NClubN finished up a successful season by singing with the Girls' Glee Club at Baccalaureate on May 26 and at Commencement on May 27. We also sang a number by our- selves at Commencement, WBells of the Sea . Miss Louise Wever was our director during the year and Miss Irmadel Graehling was the accompanist. he members of the Boys' Glee Club were: ' Tenors: Clarence Greer, Boyd Henry, Jr., Frank Henry Chester Gordon, and Howard Shike. Basses: James Kerman, Marvin Clark, Leonard Gordon, James Davis, John Davis, Richard Griffith, and Glen Blythe. !
