SENIOR CLASS HISTORY It was September 1, 1956, and the freshmen class met for the first time as high school students of Seaton High School, and all had looked ferw ard to the four years of school to fol- low. Our freshman class was made up of twenty-two members who were as fellows: Junior Greer, Boyd Henry, Lawrence Shike, Jack Keilman, Bob Greer, Norma Scott, Betty Douglas, Ruth Ricketts, Mary Garland, John Kessinger, Hayse Greer, Chester Gordon, Billie.Root, Zella Mclntyrc, Dorothy Smith, Marvin Clark, John Thompson, Martha Kuglar, Lyle McCaw, Charles McKay, Orin Ricketts, and Virgil Johnsen. This class.was one of the largest in school although in the four years we lest a few of the members. As it is customary for all freshmen to be initiated, we received ours on September 18, 1956. The initiation was spon sored by the three upper classes of the school. Also during the year we were invited to a hard-time party given by the sophomore class, and on January 15 we had a sliding party. Our class was well represented in music and literary events.by Junior Greer and Boyd Henry. Both boys entered vocal contests nd Boyd received third in piano. The class was well represent d by others in music else. Some of the freshmen did very well in baseball, basket- ball, and track. Lawrence Shikc won his first letter in basket ball. The class had some very promising material fer future teams. The freshman class officers were as follows: Hayse Greer, presidentg Norma Scott, Vice-presidentg Billie Root, secretary and treasurerg Boyd Henry, class reporter, Mary Garland, as- sistant reporter. The class adviser was Mr. Sperry. As we hailed into class the fall of Hsvu our class roll call was answered by Junior Greer, Boyd Henry, Lawrence Shike, Jack Keilman, Bob Greer, Norma Scott, Betty Douglas, Ruth Ricketts, Mary Garland, John Kessinger, Hayse Greer, Virgil Johnson, Dorethy'Smith, Marvin Clark, John Thompson, and a new member, G1en.Blythe. The class officers were as follows: Lawrence Shike, Pres- identg Glen Blythe, vice-president, Junior Greer, secretary and treasurer. Gur class adviser was Miss Koester. The junior class was made up of sixteen members as they answered the roll callg 'Lawrence Shike, Chester Gordon, Virgil Johnson, Ruth Ricketts, John Thompson,. Orin Ricketts,Marvin Clark, Junior Greer, Jack Keilman, vHsyse Greer, Boyd Henry Billie Root, Bob Greer, Mary Garland, and Glen Blythe. In the latter part of the year we had a new member in our class. James Unsworth blew in from Little York. .I
