JUNIOR HIGH The year of 1959-40 began with an enrollment of fifteen pupils, seven in the eighth grade and eight in the seventh. ' During the year we held 3 number of parties, the first being a Weiner roast in Hr. Van Eaton's timber. We also en- joyed room parties on Halloween, Thanksgiv1ng,and Christmas, with our Nature Study Club, we went on a field trip. We have taken part in all of the programs presented this year, having assisted in e community program, in the Christmas play, and in the grade school operetta, Punch and Judy . ' The year has been an active one for boys' athletics. After a successful season, the Seaton grade school team won first in the Mercer County Invitational Tournament at New Boston. The boys from our room who played on the winning team were Dwight Welch, Captain, Daniel Sims, Donald Dye, Jack Greer, Kenneth Shike, Bill Sims, Charles Heisler, Dick Gladson, and Carl Kernan. Miriam Keilman was one of the cheerleaders. We also have a track team and hope to repeat the success of last year. Those in the eighth grade who will be graduated at the Commencement the last of May are: Anne Bello Blackman, Donald Dye, Charles Heisler, Audrey Meyers, Daniel Sims, Eileen Wadleigh, and Dwight Welch.
