Jog-A ■ Thon ... October 14th. a beautiful day. over 170 run- ners take their marks, get set. go! The first annual Jog-A-Thon is underway. Students, teachers, principals, counselors, everyone giving it all they've got. For weeks pledges from 5t to $5.00 per lap have been collected. One hour of running around and around the track. The end results were about $7,200 that was donated by other students, faculty and other people in the commu- nity. This money will be used for senior scholar- ships and class treasuries. A 12-speed bicycle was awarded to Jennifer Johnson for collecting the most money and various other prizes were awarded to top runners. Frosh Initiation Week Freshman Initiation Week went over well this year Many activities were provided lor the incoming frosh. including the traditional singing of the school songs and the scrubbing of the seal. Senior leadership was at peak level by demonstrating positive reinforcement for the new high school students. All in all most frosh felt that wearing shower caps and becoming members of Seaside High School, was not only fun but. some- thing to always be remembered The freshman class sings a traditional song. Freshman gather efforts to form a strong tug-of-war team With Ivory Liquid and 409. the Class of 84 . sets out to make our School Seal shine.
