Princioals Mr. Harold Riggan, our Principal, strikes a familiar pose during a moment of deep thought. One of the important qualities about Mr. Riggan is that he makes himself available at almost all times to be of help to students and staff alike. He likes everyone to know that he is there. Mr. Riggan’s friendly, personable, and helpful manner is an as- set to Seaside High School, and to our District. ' Gr: What may look like a beckoning smile, a. may just possibly be a “Come in and tell me about your unexcused absences” smile, coming from Mr. Carl Odin, Seaside High School's Student Personnel Director. Yes, Mr. Odin is the person in charge of discipline and absences in our school, but he does have a winning smile and a good sense of humor. He is always one fo listen to what a student has to say and is understanding. (Mr. Odin is also the person responsible for the excellent plays which our students participate in each year and which the school and community enjoy so much.) “You say the bus is late for the Area Center again?’’ These could very well be the words coming from Mr. Ed Rippet, our Assistant Principal. Mr. Rippet is responsible for many, many duties at S.H.S. Some of these duties include daily opera- tion of the building, student activities, Area Vo- cational Center, and many more. Mr. Rippet is observed by most of our students daily during lunch hour; he not only keeps an eye on the students’ behavior at lunch time but chats ami- ably with students and is a helpful friend in case of any problems.
