There was a wide variety of entertainment which included Margie Huhta, Lynn Grenz, and Mary Craig, former state and county pageant winners, who vol- unteered to help out, The Seaside High School stage band and swing choir performed, and Betty Phillips played the piano for the soft shoe dance routine performed by the 10 semi-finalists, Musicians Joe Goetze, Dick Sarpola, Bill Hendrickson, and Tom Dye provided background music for the pageant. The best part was that the girls came together as a group and enjoyed being together,

For the first time, all ten girls were evenly matched, The ten finalists were Michele Macias, Sandra Schneider, Ramona Moore, Victoria Daggatt, Betty Bronaugh, Dana See, Becky Middleton, Debi Walter, Lisa Amey, and Linda Pachal. Each girl was outstanding in her own way, and there were no two alike, And, because of this individuality, the girls found it impossible to pick just one Miss Congeniality. When the time came and they had to decide, Michele Macias was chosen to receive the honor, Second runner up was Ramona Moore, first runner up was Becky Middleton, and then came the announcement of who would be the new Miss Seaside, Dana See was crowned as the official hostess for Seaside in the coming year. 26
