H Lstor Remember back in 1949 when all of us 94 starry eyed scared freshmen walked up the walk to dear old Seaside High There was no initiation for the first time Phew' That first year we will always remember Mr Johnson our adylser kept things running smoothly Our leaders tor that first year were Bob Harrod president tHe moyed away leayrng our vice president Bob Teeyrn to take oxer I Bex Gurllrume secretary kept our minutes up to date Janet Pate was the keeper of all our money Arnold Kan represented us rn tht student council and to keep our meetings in order we had the mighty Lund twins Dun ran and Douglas Can you remember those luscious cakes at our cake sale that year? Boy were they good It was our big money making project The summer came and went and we found ourselxes once more back at S H S Bob Teexin president Denny Holmes xrce president Carla Henry secretary Mary lNott treasurer and Bob l- xerett sergeant at arms led our class this year with the help of Miss Helen Aldrich our adxiser After summer xacatron we were at last mighty upper classmen' Elected for our officers were Roberta Hyde president Lynn Luthe xrce president Bex Gurllrume secretary Janet Pate treasurer later succeeded by Marvanne Harxey Douglas Lund sergeant at arms Dave Hanson class representative with Mr Marlantes as our class adxrser and stationery After much hard work and hair pulling with the direction of Mr Marlantes we produced our class play Men Are Like Streetcars on May 16 Sentimental Jourmy was the theme of our Junior Prom with the loyely queen Barbara Wascher reigning es rorted by Larry Iund The other royalty were princesses Bey Gurllrume Carla Henry VeDa Dehner and Roberta Hyde lfor the entertainment of the student body we gaxe a xarrety assembly which featured all kinds of things For .xample Sir Bob Tecxrnsky played a terrific piece on his favorite piano which consisted of keys of twinkling toes of rcrtarn gi Here rt was another year and finally our last' To carry us through our retiring year we elected Bob McNeil president Bob Teexrn xrce president Doris Grrt secretary June Cade treasurer Stuart Bonney sergeant at arms later succeeded by Don Wrlson and the worthy Mr Nydegger our adyrser As projects for frnances we sold candy and rce cream at basketball games Class day was May 29 and our Baccalaureate seryrces were on May 31 Graduation was held June 5 at the Cen rral Grade School The four years we haye spent in S H S wrll always remain in a tender spot of our memories I r ' 1 ' H .
