NDJAMME that thus mountaln was near so we could climb rt and camp up here l was afraid my famnly wouldnt let me come rep ed but when l told t em there was good camping up here and that there were always people stayrng there they agreed but for ont night only By thrs time we were at the camprng grounds There were two famllles camprng there and they seemed very friendly and came to help us l.e s get our tents up before rt gets dark Jane sand When the sun went clown we had our tents set up and were completely settled oon we were snttlng around the campfire and talking to some of the other campers We talked for a short whale and th n decided to go for a walk We went down the trail and found a spot where we coulo see what was around us We were enjoying the vlew when l-lelen suddenly shouted l.ookl What s that? The rest of us looked and all started talknng at the same time a A forest flrel What rf we re trapped? We ve got to tell the others' Then we started runnrng and shouting as we went The famrlres at the camp lure ran to meet us It s a forest fire Jane, who had calmed down a little sand, we may be trapped We ve got to hurry It was stall quite llght but rt was getting dark fast It we hurry we can mak It to the bottom of this mountain before we are trapped one of the men r plled The reflection IU the sky was getting brighter The two mothers went to get thelr child ren and the men put out the camp frre The men leo the way with flashlughts and the gurls helpeo the mothers wlth the chrldren The farst man stopped suddenly turneo around and looked back Then he sand We have to move faster By the reflcctnon e ky as getting close to e must hurry We looked at one another and starteo to cry ,lane said My mother oldn t want me to come l should not have talked her into ettlng me l-lelen sudoenly stopped crying pulleo herself together and sand We may not s e t em agaln lf we dont act our age and hurry along with the rest As she salo t1 ane and l reallzed what wouo happen nf we didnt make It and starteo running with the rest IF only someone would notrce thus fare and come to our rescue, one of the mothers said Her husband came back to meet her picked up one of their chmldren and sand l hate to say thus but l don t thunk there us much chance You see the frre IS closing ID around us A this we all ran even faster than before We could see the fare now closung IN on all sides The men were whusperlng to each other and one finally came back and 22 l hl E WI R . ..., ..
