' . 9 Y T u y - ' ' ' f . 3 ' , ' . . y Arthur Curtls Manager Richard Mace After puttlng avsay the baseball equlprnent last fall the boys waxted anxlously the call to arms for the basketball season of 1949 50 When thxs call came elexen boys answered One of thls squad dropped out before the season really got under way The ten boys remalnmg were Nat Choate Chester Pendleton Clayton Andrews Raymond Rooney Clmton Klnney Conrad Anderson Ross Car roll Peter Perklns Kenneth Martm and Arthur Curtls A number of these players wll probably show up for baseball thls sprmg We have had a good season thls 5 ear We played elghteen games and won seven The best league game we played thls year was Freedom at Searsport Nat Choate was one of the flrst fne players chosen as most valuable Judged by the playmg whlch they d1d rn the toumament Thxs ChOlC6 was the result of the votmg of the coaches of the competlng teams The team IS lookmg forward to a successful season next year as four of thls years flrst stnng w1ll be back Nat Choate and Conrad Anderson leave by graduatmg Those chosen for the all star game were Clayton Andrews Chester Pendle ton and Nat Choate Thls cholce was made by havlng each member of the squad vote for the three boys who ln thexr OplfllOI'l were the best players on the team Rlchard Mace 50
