FRESHMAIXI CLASS Left to right Front row Seated Lula Walker Parker Clements Sara Closson Austin Mr-odx Francena Howard Second row Standing Lee Dakm Adelbert Hawley Peter Perkins Raymond Rooney Earl Jackson ,Ioan Wheeler Max Kinney Leonard Gilmore Andrew Clements June Cross The boys who played basketball for the high school team this season were The boys who played on the Jayvee Team were Max Kinney Austin Moody Adelbert Hawley Richard Berry and Earl Jackson The officers of the Ninth Grade are Sara Closson President Raymond Rooney Vice President Parker Clem ents Secretary and Treasurer Max Kin ney IS the Student Council Member from our class The first important event of the year was the Freshman Reception Every body had a lot of fun' The girls had to wear a Baseball mitt or glove on the right hand They weren t supposed to wear make up or comb their hair They had to wear a burlap bag as a blouse and wear pantaloons or knickers and on the other a silk stocking with a low heel shoe They also wore onions for earrings and carried their books IU a pail The boys had to wear make up and a ribbon around the head with a big bow on top They also wore a red flannel night shi t and bright yellow stockings They had to push a baby carriage with a doll inside an alarm clock around their necks and a Slgn on their backs saying Good Night Ladies They had a slab tied on one foot and a slipper on the other Max Kinney 53 14 ' .
