1936 METIfIUEN HIGH SCHOOL CLASS PQEM Sad at heart, we come today Singing together a parting lay. Farewell to friends who were so dear, Beloved classmates for many a year. Eyes dimmed by tears, we think once more Of happy times forever oler, Of sweetest years that now are past, Too wonderfully sweet to last. Ou parting let us breathe a prayer For those whose loving, gentle care Has guided us throughout our youth To ways of lifels own strangest truth. lt was their task to guide aright A stumbling search for wisdom's light.
