Mr. Robert Lawson, building and ground superintendent, supervises the care for build- ings and grounds. Six custodians assist him in his work. During school they sweep rooms, plant and water shrubs, repair school desks, maintain the proper temperature for the rooms and in general make the school more comfortable for the students. During vaca- tion holidays they wax floors, wash windows, and give the school a thorough cleaning. Their job is one of dedication and service to the school and students. Mr. Lawson gives special instructions for mowing Lion Stadium. Good machinery costs money, but only the best is used for Searcy High School. 29
