It is the pur- pose of the 1956 SEAMAN to be that record, and to let its pages re- live every outstanding moment we have experienced in our classes, our club meetings and activities, and our social events. Those of us who have been responsible for this yearbook are proud to present a continuation of the new design introduced last year, and even more pleased to report an increase of pages, from ninety-six to one-hundred. It is the hope of the Yearbook Staff that for every reader of our book, we have definitely pictured the year 4

The concrete block-steel-brick structure houses completely the industrial arts and vocational agriculture departments. Each department has its own class- rooms, offices, lockers, work rooms, and toilet facilities. The modern designs of architecture are used with windows and glass com- prising nearly half of the walls, which permits an extensive use of natural lighting. Approximate con- struction cost was 51377, OOO. Excava tion began in the early fall with the Open House and Dedication on May 3, 1956.
