IZIASS PIIIIPHHIY Perhaps you are wonder1ng what has become oi the class of 52 To set your m1nd at ease we wxll take a look 1nto the crystal ball so that you may forsee our future F1rst of all we see J1mmy Auman who after dr1v1ng a school bus at Seagrove for two years became so mterested 1n the work that he 15 now operat1ng h1s ovnm bus termmal Leona Brxm has fmally got her heart'Sdes1re and has acqu1red her dream house 1dent1cal to the cardboard house she bu1lt 1n Home Econom1cs The d1gn1f1ed B1lly Brown who 15 now marr1ed to Betty Sue Graves IS no longer d1gn1f1ed but 15 now try1ng to make an honest l1v1ng for h1s w1fe and ch1ldren Back 1n our l-hgh School days we d1dn t bel1eve Florence and Coy when they told us they had bought a house on South Park Street but now that they are actually l1v1ng 1n lt we have to bel1eve them Glenna Lee w1th her wonderful personalxty 15 wa1t1ng pat1ent1y at home for her beloved The w1tty Peggy Cagle 15 now starr1ng on Broadway w1th Jack Benny s Sunday N1ght Program We see that B1lly .lean Campbell has made qu1te a success of her l1fe so far and we hope she w1ll cont1nue to do so 1n the future Lola Comer who has acquxred her degree 1n Mus1c from Elon College 1S now teachmg mus1c 1n the northern part of the state As we look farther 1nto the crystal ball we see that D1nk Cox has accompl1shed h1s l1fe s dream of be1ng an a1rplane p1lot Helen Farlowe always sa1d that she wanted to be a veter1nar1an We d1dn t take her ser1ous ly but she fmally stud1ed hard enough to become one and 15 now l1v1ng on a large cattle ranch Mrs Fred Garner the former Lo1s Farlow 15 happ11y do1ng her housework from day to day As a past1me she IS a saleslady for a department store M1ldred Freeman who always had the amb1t1on to go to college atta1ned her degree from Eastern State Teachers College last week She plans to come back to dear ole Seagrove to coach basketball Lonn1e Gatl1n who was always say1ng of course not to the g1rls at school fa1led to say It at the most 1mportant tlme IH h1s l1fe He 15 now happ1ly marr1ed and 15 work1ng hard to support h1s w1fe Betty Jean Graves much to our del1ght 15 now captaln of one of the most famous basketball teams 1n the world We are amazed to see that V1v1an Hall IS st1ll wr1t1r1g to her Alaskan boy fr1end whom she has yet to see After all these years we thought perhaps Rachel Hancock would have lost some of her cute ness but we see that she hasn t She st1ll hasn t settled down to one man though When we pass through Seagrove we always see one fam1l1ar face that of Frank1e Hogan He now operates h1s own THXI stand there We are glad to see that after years of hard work Sh1rley James has accompl1shed her l1fes amb1t1on of be1ng a nurse She rece1ved her degree from W1HStOH Salem Bapt1st Hosp1tal and 1S very happy 1n her work Max Klng who went to Commerc1al College has worked h1mself up unt1l he has atta1ned a Job as pr1vate secretary to the Pres1dent of the Un1ted States Franklm Lamb 15 now the operator of a large bookstore IH Asheboro HIS w1fe 15 help1ng h1m run It Betty Jean Lan1er seem1ngly a quzet and modest g1rl dur1ng her h1gh school days IS now a s1nger and appears every Saturday on a TV show As we gaze deeper 1HtO the crystal ball we see that Myrtle Luther prett1est g1rl of our Sen1or Class IS now starr1ng IH one of Paramount s famed product1ons She plays oppos1te the second Clark Gable Floyd Parks always wanted to be a football star It seems that he never d1d accompl1sh h1s amb1t1on but he 1S now a football coach and had led h1s Seagrove team to many v1ctor1es Kay R1ChardSOH after attendmg Cgllege dec1ded to settle dovsm and get marr1ed She 15 l1v1ng 1n a br1ck mans1on ln one of Cal1forn1a s ma1n C1t1es Nell Rlchardson has jomed her s1ster 1n Wash1ngton and 15 work1ng for the F B l As a pas t1me she plays basketball w1th the Wash1ngton basketball squad Edward Staley marr1ed Mona Rae as we always supposed he would They run a cafe 1n Reno Nevada Betty Sykes just couldn t g1ve up her Job 1n the cafeter1a She has been com1ng back every year slnce she graduated to help Mrs Rlchardson Cora W1ll1ams was marr1ed r1ght after graduat1on to .Tumor Saunders They are now l1v1ng 1n a stately mans1on 1n Balt1more Maryland Geneva W1ll1amson known to her fr1ends as Neva 15 now happ1ly marr1ed to Herbert Garner and 15 busy keepmg her l1ttle house t1dy for her husband and her four chxldren Glenna Lee Cagle and Lola Comer Class Prophets .
