g, 5, V ., emfemder Len Way back in 1959, one hundred and seventy students entered the Freshman class, thus beginning a constant whirl of events to last us through four wonder- ful years. Remember that horror of a movie Hit the Deckn? Well, at least we made money. Then there was the Winter Wonderland Christmas Dance where a kid named Eddie Carfero sang. Remember how proud we all were when Jimmy, Rusty and George moved up from the Freshman basketball tea.m to ,l.V. in mid-season? Somehow we staggered through David Copperfield that year and wound everything up with our prom, Paris in the Spring What fun we had toasting the bread sticks over the candles! Sophomore year brought bigger and better things. They let us attend Senior High assemblies, not to mention dances. We gave two of our own dances, re- member 'cPilgrim Rock and '4April Showersn? That was the year we discovered the fun of renting a jukebox. The Highlight of 10th grade was our field trip to see uBen Hurf' The girls dreamt of Charlton Heston for months after. We be- came money-minded with our card sales. We groaned through Silas Marnerf, Final event: Class Picnic! A Juniors! Attending Open House Parties was a constant pastime. We sailed through Moby Dick and sponsored a Sadie Hawkins dance. lVlore Christmas Cards, and we all got sick on jelly donuts galore. High Spots: the prom, '4Blue Hawaiin fremember the falling gate?i and that memorable day when we re- ceived our senior rings. Low spot: P.S.A.T.7s.' Then suddendly we arrived! Be- lieve it or not we were: Seniors! 'cAnyone want to buy a pretzel? We sold refreshments at every home game and sponsored the Country Fair Square Dancen Whatever happened to the kissing booth? Then came Senior pictures and being measured for caps and gowns. Candy sales drove everybody crazy, especially Mrs. Esposito and Mr. Robertson. Remember how we felt the day we got our hats and pins? Now everyone would know just how the top bananas in this school were! We man- aged lVlacbeth and good old Chaucer. Then came college applications and job interviews to increase the anxiety. Weill always remember the smashing success of the Variety Show and the fun we had at rehearsals. And who could ever forget that night of magic at the Nl7'ouir Windsli? The year passes quickly and we're faced, all too soon, with the prospect of leaving Seaford High. As we look back over our four years here, we tend to forget the homework, exams, rules, and problems, remembering only the fun, the dances, parties, sports, and good times. That's the way it should be, because after all, we'll have to admit that these were the very best years of our lives. , ' Page 17
